Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee Alabama on February 4, 1913. She was a pioneer of Civil Rights. Her parents were James and Leona Mc Cauley. Rosa Parks was an African-American girl who attended the Montgomery Industrial Schools for girls.

Rosa Parks is the Mother of the Civil Rights Movement. One day in 1955, she refused to give up her bus seat to a white person. She was arrested and put in jail for not giving up her seat. Rosa Parks and other people kept protesting against the unfair rules for African-American people riding the buses. Finally the United States Supreme Court made the bus company change its rules. Rosa had made a big difference. As years went by, other unfair rules for African-Americans where also changed.
